This is a proof of concept developed by Autentika, and dedicated to newsrooms. Be sure to check out other AI concepts for Newsrooms.
Detecting potential plagiarism
By scanning articles across a wide range of platforms, "Hunting Dog" identifies and flags instances where substantial portions of original content may have been copied by rival publications. This feature empowers journalists to safeguard their creative integrity while staying informed of industry trends.
The journalist/editor accesses the "Hunting Dog" panel, and sees the list of articles.
AI presents a list of recent plagiarism alerts. Each alert includes the name of the site where the suspected plagiarized content was found, the title of the suspected copied article, and its publication date. It also displays the title and publication date of the original article.
Split-view comparison: Clicking on an alert opens both articles in a split-view interface, allowing the journalist to compare the original and suspected copied content side-by-side.
The system shows a list of suspected plagiarism matches. The user can navigate through it and highlight one of them to show the specific sentences it adheres to. The feature shows which sentences or phrases are identical.
The user can decide which action to take: send the article to the chief editor or send to legal department for a potential legal action.
The user goes to Teasers Experiments.
